BioAgilytix Recognized by Triangle Business Journal as a 2018 Leader in Diversity

The Bioanalytical Laboratory is Honored with Award for the Third Time, Highlighting the Company’s Ongoing Commitment to Diversity in the Workplace

AUGUST 13, 2018—Durham, NC—BioAgilytix, a leading provider of contract bioanalytical testing services with specialization in large molecule bioanalysis, has been named to Triangle Business Journal’s 2018 class of Leaders in Diversity award winners. The award recognizes organizations that demonstrate an ongoing commitment to building a diverse workforce that accurately represents the diverse population that lives and works in the Research Triangle Park area. BioAgilytix was selected for this award for the third time in recognition of its broad diversity-enabling practices, which have attracted talent of varied ages, genders, experience, ethnicities, and cultures to the company.

As an equal opportunity employer and an organization with growing global operations, BioAgilytix has remained committed to creating a work environment that promotes diversity of opinions, perspectives, experience, and personal style, and that sees candidates selected for their unique talents rather than their age, sex, race, religion, national origin, or other status.

“First and foremost, our approach to recruiting is focused on putting together a team of well-rounded and committed individuals who have the capacity to drive better results for the company and our customers,” said Mark Bethers, Global Vice President of Human Resources at BioAgilytix. “We have found that bringing together individuals with different backgrounds and perspectives is the best way to create a team that can more efficiently reach new and innovative conclusions. Diversity in educational backgrounds, work experiences, personal perspectives, and even thought processes breeds creativity, which is what we need to solve our customers’ unique bioanalytical challenges.”

BioAgilytix has credited its diversity policy and programs in helping to recruit a wide variety of talent, from recent graduates to top thought leaders in the global bioanalytical realm, during a time of continued company growth. In fact, nearly half of the company’s new hires in 2018 come from minority backgrounds, contributing additional diversity to BioAgilytix’s already-global team. “Diversity is a necessity for the success of our global business, because we serve a diverse pool of global customers,” said Jim Datin, President and Chief Executive Officer of BioAgilytix. “It has always been something we focus on in our hiring efforts. We are proud to say that with this year’s new hires included, BioAgilytix employees now represent over 25 countries from all over the world.”

BioAgilytix will be recognized with the 2018 class of Leaders in Diversity award winners at a luncheon held on September 27th at the Raleigh Marriott City Center. More information on the event can be found here.
